Description: black and white postcard photograph of the St. Patricks Day parade on West Elm Avenue, Waseca, Minn.; dated March, 17, 1909; visible: Ryan Hotel, Sacred Heart Church and Academy, a blacksmith shop, parade consists of a small band and then the U.S. flag and a column of men in dark clothes all marching up the street toward State Street intersection; snow on the ground; postmark over one-cent stamp dated March, Waseca, Minn.
Addressed to M. Vera Murphy, Arlington, S. D. It is thought the photo was taken from somewhere above what is now the Barbers. The Ryan Hotel was partially destroyed in the Herter's fire of 1942 and was later torn down.
