Waseca County Railroads - Chicago & Northwestern (C & NW). Notation on back: C & NW engineer; Civil War veteran, Co. F., 28th Iowa Infantry. Waseca Business: Lewis Photography. Mr. Read was an engineer on teh Chicago and Northwestern railroad. He was very proud of this and also of his service as a volunteer in the Civil War. He had very white hair, which he kept immaculate.
