Wallace A. Peterson, of Minneapolis purchased the McLaughlin home circa March 25, 1936. An Open House for the Peterson Funeral Home was held on April 15, 1936. Waseca business: Peterson Funeral Home. The house formerly belonged to the Dennis McLaughlin family; after the Petersons, it became the Sandberg Funeral home, then McRaith Funeral home. In 2002 the house was moved off the lot to 10th Ave. N.W. and Second St. N.W.
