Notation on back: "Man in back seat is Gust Klampe's father, Louis Klampe, native of Germany and Civil War veteran. Captured by the enemy during the War, Mr. Klampe was perhaps the only Waseca County Civil War soldier who endured the hardships of the dread Confederate prisoner of war compount at Andersonville, Georgia."
