Robert Christianson and Robert Boese with School Bell. 6-5/8" x 6-1/2" black and white photograph of two men and a bell; identified are the Janesville High School bell, Robert Christianson, superintendent stands to the left of the bell; Robert Boese, high school principal stands to the right of the bell. Lapidary work was done by Mr. Peterson.

Notation on back: "Bell behind school". This bell was salvaged from the old Janesville Public School that was torn down in 1962. The new high school school was dedicated in 1963 and the bell was remounted and placed in the courtyard south of the new school facing Third Street. Lyle Peterson, local lapidary, prepared the stones for the new mount.
