John Byron. 4-7/8" x 7" black and white reprint photograph of a man identified as John Byron, an early Waseca pioneer or settler; shown wearing sideburns and gray beard, vested suit with bow tie. St. Mary Township
John Byron came from Ireland and settled first in Virginia. He was married in Cincinnati on his way west. They spent the winter of 1855-56 in Iowa, then came to Waseca County in spring of 1856 (see Child's History of Waseca County for more information). The donor was about age ten when John Byron died.
