U.S. Army Uniform WWI. Material: textile, leather, metal. Size: 12 5/8" W. x 13 7/8" L. x 6" H. Description: olive green felt - campaign hat - wide brim; high rounded crown - four pleats - four metal vent eyelets - olive green ribbed ribbon hatband with flat bow on left side - braided and buckled leather chin strap extends over front half of hatband - "H.F.D." scratched into buckle.

Waseca County Military - WWI. From Howard Deichen Estate & donated Aug. 1976; because #8147 & #8149 both are from Deichen, & there's no card for #8148.
