U.S. Army Uniform Hatband. Material: textile, metal. Size: 7 1/2" diameter x 1 5/8" H. Description: brown and black striped double cord - hatband for a felt campaign hat - ends run through a cord bead finished with acorns shapes - gold-toned tin wreath-shaped G.A.R.badge opposite the acorns.

Waseca County Military - Civil War. Grand Army of the Republic (GAR). Belonged to John Preston Martin of Waseca, donor's grandfather. He also has a bass drum in WCHS collections.
