German Army Gas Mask. Size - 4 5/8 " diameter x 6 3/4 " H. Material - metal. Canister painted green; cover has a metal ring securing it to can & 1 clamp for closure; 42 1/2 " L x 7/8 " W khaki heavy canvas shoulder or neck strap is secured to can around 2 metal loops, 1 buckle for adjustment; at bottom a strip of green (or dirty khaki) canvas strap with a leather end & other end has button hole; on bottom are 2 stamps, one looks like a year "1915", other is round with a "12" in it. Condition - slightly rusty, slightly dented, stained.
