U.S. Navy Jumper: Wynnemer. Material: textile and plastic. Size: 16 3/4" across shoulders x 31 1/2" L. x 26 1/2" L. sleeves.Description: navy blue wool long-sleeved pullover with a narrow sailor collar extending over shoulders and forming a large squared back collarl bordered with three rows of white braid and a white star in each back corner; one left side breast p;pcket; one inside right breast pocket closes with a single button flap; sleeves are encircled with three white stripes around each cuff and with plastic buttons featuring an anchor impression (enlisted man's buttons); a navy blue patch sewn on left sleeve displays three red chevrons under a white eagle (Petty Officer 1st Class or Boatswain's Mate, E-6) centered with white crossed hammers (Metalsmith insignia); label under collar displays "Errel F. Wynnemer" and "MZC" in handwriting; a circular blue patch above the label is bordered in white and displays a yellow, black and gray bumble bee with white wings and a hat; "Seabees" embroidered beneath the bee on the blue patch.
Waseca County Military - WWII. Worn by Errel F. Wynnemer who entered service in October 1943 and went to the South Pacific in April 1944. He returned to the States and was discharged in November 1945 with the rating of Metalsmith 1st Class in the Navy Seabees.
