World War I Army Military Uniform. (a) Jacket. Material: textile and metal. Size: 18" W. across shoulders x 31" L. x 25 1/2" L. sleeves. Description: olive green wool blouse with brown cotton bodice lining and green cotton sleeve lining; stand-up collar fastens with two heavy hooks and eyes; one round metal collar pin on each side stamped "U.S." (#8147 c and d); front closure with five black metal shank buttons each stamped with the Army crest; two breast pockets and two patch pockets at lower jacket edge; all pockets close with a single button flap; shoulder epaulets fasten with a single button; long sleeves with three Sergeant rank gold chevrons on the right sleeve, and one red chevron on the left sleeve; a green loop inside back neckline for hanging. (b) Pants. Material: textile, metal and celluloid. Size: 35 1/2" W. waistline x 26" L. Description: olive green wool jodhpurs with a tan cotton inner waistband and pocket lining; reinforced knee and legs areas; front fly closure with five silver toned metal "U.S. Army" buttons; two hip pockets and two front pockets; one right side coin pocket below waistband seam; six waistband belt loops; twenty metal eyes on each outside pant leg to secure with green laces.
