World War II U. S. Army Great Coat of Marshall Schoenrock. Material: textile, plastic, metal. Size: 20" W. across shoulders x 48 1/2" L. x 25 1/2" L. sleeves. Description: U.S. Army Uniform olive green wool "Great Coat"; double-breasted style; khaki cotton bodice and sleeve lining; front closure with three olive green buttons; three parallel buttons to closure buttons; shanked buttons designed with raised army crest; one collar button; epaulet shoulder straps with one button; back half-belt secured with two buttons; lower skirt back vent secured to lining with three yellow-tan buttons; black ink stamp at back neckline: " 40S" and "L. Rosen".
Waseca County Military - World War II. Worn by Marshall Schoenrock, 1943-45 while with the Keystone Division, 28th Infantry. A decorated soldier, he was in three campaigns including Southern France and Battle of the Black Forest.
