Material: textile, metal, leather. Size: 12 3/8" W. x 14" L. x 5 1/2" H. Description: brown felt campaign hat - wide straight 2 3/4" W. brim encircles crown and bordered with four rows of topstitching - four pleats in crown top - four metal vent holes in crown - olive green ribbed ribbon hatband - flat bow on one side - brown leather sweatband - narrow brown leather chin strap with metal adjusting buckle threaded through hat brim. Part of U.S. Army Uniform, #3.86.2-9.
Waseca County Military. WWI. Worn by Private Elmer Peterson of Otisco. He entered the service 4 Sept 1918 & was stationed with an Infantry Replacement Brigade at Camp Grant, IL.
