Material: textile. Size: 5 3/8" W. x 11" L. x 1/2" D. Description: brown wool - red piping (Artillary) - overseas cap style - khaki colored sweatband is khaki - two black stamped areas: "G8632". Part of U.S. Army Uniform, #4668 (cap), #4669 (cap), #4670 (overcoat), #4685 (jacket).

Waseca County Military. WWII. Worn by James Gutknecht, Private 1st Class. He served from March 1942 - Oct 1945. He drove heavy artillary. He fought in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, Central Europe. He was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Medal.
