Description: olive green twill fabric with gold and black cord trim (General Staff); brown leather sweatband, gold satin lining, orange plastic rain repellant lining in fold; gold oak leaf cluster signifying rank of Major (#7501k) pinned on front left side. U.S. Army uniform.
Worn by Edwin T. Herbig, Jr. He was a major in the signal corps of the U.S. Army during WWII. This accession included a jacket, cap, ID card, transport pass. Pins removed during storage.
