Yellow Net Gown. Material: textile, metal. (a) Gown. Size: 15 3/4" W. across bodice x 44" L. Description: yellow taffeta with yellow net overskirt and bodice; sleeveless fitted bodice with deep v-neckline and narrow shoulder spaghetti straps; full ankle length skirt with two 4" W. yellow embroidered net bands encircling the skirt; back zipper closure with one hook and eye at top. (b) Bolero. Size: 14 1/2" W. across shoulders x 14 1/2" L. Description: yellow net short jacket with short set-in sleeves and Peter Pan collar; one hook and eye closure at front center neckline. Worn by the Strenge twins to the New Richland Prom.

#50.98.1 and #50.98.3: gowns worn at New Richland High School prom by twins, Faith Strenge (Youngberg) & Frances Strenge (Nelson) in May 1954 & 1955 - purchased at Brett's Bridal Shop in Mankato for $34.99 each, about $10 more than average. Parents approved purchase if girls would wear the dresses two years.
