(a, b). Material: metal. (a) Pitcher. Size: 6 1/8" diameter x 8 1/2" W. (lip spout to handle edge) x 11 3/4" H. Description: silver plated metal - decorative metal beading edges the rim, neck and upper base - decorative serpentine handle on one side - extended pouring lip on other side. (b) Lid. Size: 4 1/8" diameter x 4 1/8" H. Description: silver plated metal cap - center extends upward to form ornate knob - hinged, but broken. Set consists of pitcher and two cups.
Bought by a member of donor's family at the auction of Immanuel Methodist Church in Blooming Grove township in the early 1950s. Immanuel Methodist was built in 1862 and merged with Bethel Methodist Church in 1951 to form Blooming Grove United Methodist Church.
