Violin Case. Material: wood, metal, textile. Size: 9 3/8" W. x 31 3/8" L. x 4" D. Description: black painted wooden case; two metal hinges on one side; two metal hooks and eyes and a handle on other side; blue floral patterned paper lining; metal inside hook engraved: "GSB" to secure bow; pink fabric lining inside lower half of case shaped to fit violin; two 3-sided compartments for storing resin, etc. Set with 88.83.1-5
Charles Stankey’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Stankey gave this violin to Charles for his 16th birthday. Charles played in an orchestra around the county at barn dances and other dances. Donated by Audrey Sutlief daughter of Charles Stankey, for Charles and Elsie Stankey.
