Material: textile, metal and plastic. Size: 18" W. across bodice x 39 1/2" L. Description: brown polyester twill - knee length - narrow two-point collar - double breasted bodice style - front closure with three brown buttons sewn beside vertical row of three brown trim buttons - 3/4 length sleeves - closure also with side zipper - inside seams finished with black lace tape - back detail of faux half-belt at waistline trimmed with one centered brown button - hand sewn from Vogue pattern 1818 (Acc.# 64.97.4).
Lorraine & Larry Malchow opened the Ben Franklin store in Waseca in 1948 on the corner of 2nd Ave. NW & State St. N. The location of the store moved to the corner of 3rd Ave. NE & State St. N. in 1970. The Malchows retired in 1982. Dress made by Lorraine.
