Material: textile. wood. Size: 1 1/2" diameter x 2" H. Description: natural wooden spool - straight-sided - wider base and top - beige thread wound around center - red paper label on one end: "Barbou.. Machine Threa.."- floral and black line border.

Barbour Thread (est. 1784), and now owned by Coats America, making them the world's largest manufacturer of thread and megafilament thread. Apparently, Coats America felt this was a fine enough product to justify buying the company. An American product made especially for high speed single needle quilting machines.
