Material: textile, metal. (a) Jacket. Size: 14 3/4"' W. shoulder to shoulder x 35" L. x 24" L. sleeves. Description: black wool - fingertip length - black velvet notched collar - black wool lapels form V-neckline - uncut buttonhole in right lapel - 5 black fabric covered buttons and buttonholes form front closure to below waistline (one button missing) - jacket open to below hipline - long, set-in sleeves gathered at the shoulders - black velvet cuffs - pockets at each side trimmed with a decorative velvet and wool flap and two black buttons - lower jacket design of open vertical seams allows for ease of sitting - 14 1/2" L. center back vent is edged with faux placket and a vertical row of 5 black fabric covered buttons on each side - gold silk lining (shattered). (b) Skirt. Size: 15" W. at waist x 60" W. at hemline x 36 1/2" L. Description: black wool - 3/4" W. black cotton waistband - back closure with five hooks and eyes - front skirt design: from waistline to hemline a faux placket trimmed with a vertical row of 10 fabric covered buttons - other decorative detail: two triangular front side pleats from hipline to hemline with inserts of horizontal tucks - decorative detail at hem: horizontal black bands encircle the skirt each with one button sewn on for trim at the tapered point - hem is finished on the underside with 2 rows of black ribbed hem tape - seams are finished with brown tape.
