Material: textile. Size: 11 1/2" W. at crown and 52 1/2" W. at hemline x 22" L. Description: yellow wool - white cotton lining - drawstring hem around neckline (drawstring missing) - gathered around face with a 1 1/8" W ruffle - decorative hand stitching along edges.

Child's cape worn by Clair Hatle, b. 1913, donor's brother. Probably made by his mother, Clara O. Johnson who married Gerhardt O. Hatle (donor's parents) in the early 1910s. They had 10 children; Orvin, Clair, Evelyn, Wesley, Herbert, Elaine, Edith, Avis, Rebecca & Ruth.
