Calvary Episcopal Church was moved 700 7th St NE. In 1996, church building was desanctified and turned in a residence. History: The German Lutheran Church was built in on the corner of 3rd Ave and 4th St NE. In 1917-20, some of the congregation merged with English Methodist Church who built WCHS museum. The church was moved to corner of 4th Ave & 4th St NE about the same time. In 1922, Norwegian and English speaking Lutherans split. First English Lutheran Church rented then bought the building. In 1938, First English Lutheran Church reunited with the Norwegian Lutheran Church. The building was inadequate for the size of the reunited congregations. They traded with Calvary Episcopal Church.
