Settee. Material: wood, textile, metal. Size: 45" W. x 38" H. x 24" deep. Description: cherry-stained hardwood frame with pale yellow, pink and green floral upholstered cushions; decorative tacks hold a 1/2" W. finishing band around upholstery edges; one curved wooden arm on each side; high ornately carved cherry back board with a decorative carved center back; one wooden framed upholstered insert on each side of back; decorative wooden scrollwork above each back cushion and in center back.
Gena Eleanor Loken Fretham inherited the settee from her parents Jens and Jestina Loken of New Richland. Upon Gena's death, it was willed to the Waseca Co. Historical Society. Gena's children are: Gordon, Ludwig, Melford, Ellsworth and Clarice (Krause).
