Knife Sheath. Sioux. Material: leather, quill, glass, textile. Size: 2 1/2" W. x 6 1/2" L. Description: deer skin pouch - beaded on one side - handstitched - 8 1/2" L. fringe wrapped with beadwork, metal ends and yarn tassles extend from bottom - same beaded fringe extends 5 1/2" L.from each side of opening - 6" L. leather carrying strap wraped in quill work at top - 2 1/2" L. fringes extend from looped handle.

Probably a tourist item. Sioux Indian knife sheath circa 1910. Very fragile, some beads falling off. Currently displayed in the flat exhibit case located on the museum balcony timeline.
