Ivory Silk Two-Piece Dress of Mary Roeglin Drum. Material: textile, metal. (a) Dress. Size: 15" x 48" L. Description: ivory silk two piece dress; silk skirt has a plain white cotton gauze top, hook and eye waistband closure, deep pleated lower skirt area. (b) Dress bodice. Description: ivory silk with a white cotton lining, lace high neckline vertically pleated front bodice to waistline, elbow length sleeves with pleated cuffs and narrow lace trim; back detail: rosette bow at waistband, deep lace hem tapers to a point in front and gradually comes to a rounded edge in back. (c) Veil. Description: ivory cap attached to a floor length veil; waxy green faux flowers edge headpiece area around face. (d) Panties. Size: 13" W. x 24" L. Description: white cotton with wide eyelet lace trim around bottom edges, lace tucks around top and hemline.
Worn by Mary Roeglin at her marriage to Simon H. Drum, Jr. September 21, 1910. The wedding was the first evening wedding at St. John Lutheran Church of Wilton. The St. John Lutheran Church of Waseca gave their gas lights to this little church.
