VFW World War I Overseas Cap. Material: textile. Size: 5 3/4" W. x 11 3/4" L. Description: olive green wool (V.F.W. Military) overseas style folds flat, gold piping encircles crown, embroidered on one side with the multicolored Seal of Veterans of Foreign Wars and gold "1642"; embroidered on other side: "Waseca" and red silk patch with black lettering: "Sandstorm".

Worn by Joseph T. Olsen. He took basic training in France & served in France with an infantry regiment. He held rank of sergeant. Waseca County Military WWI. Accessioned in 1969.
