World War I Army Uniform Helmet. Material: metal, textile. Size: 11 7/8" W. x 13" L. x 6" H. Description: white painted metal helmet U.S. Army Uniform, red and white striped triangle inside a blue circle insignia painted on helmet front; gray webbed lining and chin strap attached by metal loops on each side of helmet with chin strap buckle for closure.
Waseca County Military - WWI. Worn by Gilbert Duitman. Donor is his sister. Private Duitman entered the service 25 May 1918. He served in France with Company C, 34th Engineers. The divisional crest of the 34th Division had a buffalo skull on it.
