Silver Tea Service. Material: metal. (a) Teapot. Size: 4 3/4" diameter base x 12" H. Description: silver pot with pouring spout, handle and hinged lid with knob in the form of a rose; raised floral design around pot base, spout base, handle and upper rim. (b) Sugar Container. Size: 3 1/2" base x 6" H. Description: a silver bowl with one handle on each side with raised floral pattern repeated at top in front and back and on base. (c) Sugar Container. Size: 3 1/4" base x 5 3/4" H. (d) Creamer. Size: 3 1/4" diameter at base; handle on one side, pouring spout on opposite side; stamped floral design repeated on handle and at top of creamer. Logo stamped and encircled with a buck head on base: "Buck Silver Co. - Kilbuck, N.Y. Plate".
Belonged to Emma Bierman Perrin. Bierman Collection: Bernie Bierman was a football coach at the University of Minnesota for the Golden Gophers. Bernie Bierman was the grandson of a Waseca County pioneer, Heinrich F. Bierman. In 1855, Heinrich made a claim in sections 13, in Wilton and 18 in Otisco where he lived until December 22, 1882, when he was accidentally killed by a fall from a wagon. His wife and five children lived in Waseca after his death. Luella and Marguerite Herbst are the granddaughters of Mr. and Mrs. Heinrich Bierman, and the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Herbst. Mrs. Herbst was Elizabeth Bierman. They also donated items from Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Perrin. Mrs. Perrin was Emma Bierman.
