Material: metal, leather, horsehair, celluloid. Size: 6 1/4" W. x 80" L. Description: leather tooled straps - four-part bridle - (a) Nose strap. Description: steel bit on main part - white celluloid rings - twelve gray horsehair tassels - two black horsehair tassels - black background. (b) Quirt. Size: 1 3/4" W. x 38" L. Description: one tooled strap looped at one end, one light gray tassel, one black tassel - two leather strips at other end. [c] Tie-down. Size: 1" W. x 23 3/4" L. Description: brown split leather tie-down - smooth on one side - eight holes and a metal buckle - splits into two straps caught by a rounded piece. (d) Strap. Size: Description: brown leather two-piece neck strap - one wider strap has seventeen holes goes around front of neck.
Accessioned as a Native American bridle, but is questionably so due to the construction.
