Used by Mrs. John (Matha) Peabody, grandmother of Mrs. Harold Boyd (Zaida Price) and Mrs. Ed Priebe (Marle) over 100 years old. Soapstones were used to warm beds and to keep feet warm on long trips in Sleighs and Cutters.
