Material: textile, metal. (a) Dress. Size: 28" W. x 53 1/2" L. Color and description: gray silk - floor length - V-neckline with a lace insert extending to form a high beaded collar - gray braid trim edging around neckline and down front center bodice to waistline - long sleeves with lace cuffs - three bodice tucks for fullness front and back. (b) Belt. Material: textile, metal. Size: 2" W. x 28" L. Description: gray silk - pleated construction - reinforced with 5 stays - closure with 3 hooks and eyes.

Perhaps worn by Martha Sorenson. Mrs. Sorenson was an early settler of the New Richland & Otisco township area. She lived to be over 100 years old. There is another photograph of her by her log cabin just northwest of the LeSueur River Church in Otisco Township.
