Julia Hawkes graduated from Carlton College in 1901 and this appears to be one of her graduation pictures. She came from a family of early settlers. Never married. Mr. & Mrs. Erwin (Anne) Olson bought their home when they moved to Calif. Personal items were left in the house. Note written on back: 'I have numbered them so if H wants to keep them you can refer to them by number. Please pick out about 3 doz. at 2.50 for first doz. and 2.00 for the rest I shall not get all at once'
