White Cotton Child's Boy's Gown. Material: textile. Size: 10 1/2" W. x 18 1/2" L. Description: white cotton tissue gingham; wide, round neckline; short set-in butterfly sleeves; six-gore full skirt, 1 5/8" W. waistband across front extends to form sash ties in the back, ends of ties, sleeves, neckline, and both sides of front panel above and below waistline are all trimmed with a narrow ruffle; back closure in an 8" L. waistline placket, a 1 1/2" band of bias fabric is appliqued to hem.
Note with item: "Worn by Clyde Allison Bush born February 23, 1875, at Peddler's Grove,Minnesota. (Now a memory town.) Handsewn with tiny stitches. Donated by Mrs. Herbert D. Miller, Waseca, Minn., a stepdaughter of Mr. Bush. Clyde Allison Bush." (Observe the tiny, almost invisible stitches, all done by hand.) Goes with #1276.
