U.S. Army WAC uniform, #62.88.1,3,4. (a) Jacket. Material: brown wool flannel lined with brown cotton - v-neckline - wide notched collar forms wide lapels - two slash pockets at each side of waistline - one flap (false pocket) on each side of upper uniform bodice trimmed with a 5/8" W. button - front closure with four 1" W. gold-colored buttons stamped "U.S. Army" - long sleeves - circular blue upper sleeve patch edged with a white scalloped border (9th Service Command) - shoulder sleeve black rank patch trimmed with three green chevrons over a green "T" (Technician 4th Class) - black ink stamped inside lower right: "F 715695".
Waseca County Military. WWII. Women's Army Corp (WAC). Issued to and worn by Beatrice Grace Fairley (W.A.C. stationed in Washington State during World War II). She was a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, 9th Service Command, Technician 4th Grade.
