Conklin Family Baptismal Gown. Material: textile. Size: 27" W. x 33" L. Description: white cotton lawn, long skirted gown; round neckline; long sleeves gathered at shoulders; neckline and sleeves edged with 1/4" W. white lace; bodice has lace and eyelet yoke each side trimmed with three vertical rows of 1/4" W. tucks; 3 1/2" W. embroidered ruffle edged with 1/4" W. white lace around hemline; area above hemline encircled with five rows of 3/4" W. pin tucks.

If made in 1888, was worn by Pearl Conklin for her baptism; if made in 1892, was worn by Mildred Clarissa Cleveland (sister of Pearl Conklin). Also was worn by either Lucile Frances Conklin in 1910, or by Guelma Beatric Conklin in 1911. R: See baptismal
