Conklin Family Baptismal Gown. Material: textile. Size: 37" W. x 29 1/2" L. Description: white cotton lawn trimmed with white cotton lace; round neckline edged with white lace; bodice yoke edged with white lace extending across upper back over shoulder seams down both sides of front to hemline; white on white floral satin and chain stitch embroidery on back yoke and center front panel from neckline to hemline; long sleeves gathered to shoulder seams and cuffs edged with white lace; closure at back neckline in 7" L. placket.

Made in 1888 or 1892; if made in 1888, was worn by Pearl Conklin for her baptism. If made in 1892, was worn by Mildred Clarissa Cleveland (sister of Pearl Conklin). Also was worn by either Lucile Frances Conklin in 1910, or by Guelma Beatrice Conklin.
