Blue-Handled Curling Iron. Material: wood; metal. Size: 2 1/4" x 8". Description: blue painted wooden handles attached to metal spring loaded tongs which when heated are used to created hair styles of curls or waves usually for girls and women.
Part of a collection of hunting items collected by Alvin Olson who lived in Waseca with his wife Eleanora Olson for about 20 years. He was born at Willow Creek between Mapleton and Amboy. Eleanora Olson was born and raised in Mankato and had family on the Roemhildt side near Elysian and Janesville.
