Marguerite Burke Collard. Marguerite Burke was born in 1911 in Waldorf, Minnesota, the daughter of Agnes (Gallagher) and William R. Burke. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1930, and St. Mary's School of Nursing in Minineapolis in 1934 where she worked as a private duty nurse until 1940. She entered active duty with the U.S. Army in 1942 and served until 1946. She later married Raymond Collard.
