Everett Family Silver Serving Dish. Material: metal. Size: 7" H. x 12" diameter. Description: silver metal bowl with lid; handle on each side; sides dented; removable inner ring, glass bowl not included; four decorative feet at bottom; print on bottom: "Rockford Silver P. Co., Quadruple, 2402."
Donor's father, Arvin Spies, was hired to dismantle the Everett house in 1958. Arvin found a few items in the house and took them home to his wife Dorothy Spies. After Dorothy passed away donor brought the silver items to the museum. The silver has been a part of the Everett and Spies families. ROCKFORD SILVER PLATE CO - Rockford - IL Succeeded to Racine Silver Plate Co in 1882. Bought in 1925 by Raymond Sheets, became Sheets-Rockford Silver Plate Co (until c. 1956)
