Green Windbreaker of the Irish-American Club. Material: textile, metal. Size: 21" (shoulder to shoulder) x 32" L. Description: green nylon, long-sleeved with elasticized wrists, pointed collar, draw-string closure around bottom hemline, silver snap front closure from center neckline to bottom; imprinted on reverse side in white: "Irish-American Club Southern Minnesota"; jacket was worn by active club member Pat Thissen of Janesville; inside neck label: "Pla-Jac by Dan Brooke 44-L 46 Made in U.S.A."; gray flannel lined.
Patrick Thissen, a founding member of the Irish-American Club of Southern Minnesota, was a well-known Irish American tenor from Janesville, Minnesota who performed and entertained at many family and Janesville-Waseca area celebrations; he was especially known for his Irish ballads.
