Herbert Cleveland Hotaling is referenced in the 1880s newspapers of Waseca County; he appears to have been employed in the newspaper industry in Janesville, New Richland and Waseca. He was also associated with the Janesville Prohibition Club. He was married in 1889 in Brownton. More information in Child's History of Waseca County, page 880.
