Description: white glossy card stock cover, spiral bound, cover graphic of Sylvester Donald Singlestad in military uniform against a United States flag; cover title: "The Fighting Fool, A Decorated Veteran Remembers World War II"; contents: 230 illustrated pages retelling the events of Singlestad's life from his birth in 1917, growing up in small town Emmons, later moving to Waseca, Minnesota where he met his future wife, Florence Schroeder; most of the book details Singlestad's experiences in European military battles as a Red Bull in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Donation of World War II artifacts commemorating T/Sgt. Sylvester Donald Singlestad's military service was received by Scott Singlestad from Don and Florence Singlestad's daughter, Debbra Sharkey. Singlestad lived until he was 93 years old and died in Park Rapids, MN. He is buried in the Minnesota State Veterans’ Cemetery at Little Falls, Minnesota. Don spent some of his boyhood years living in Waseca.
