Caleb Haug courted Emily Johnson, daughter of A. D. and Inger Hartz Johnson. They later married in the LeSueur River Lutheran Church. Their children were all born in Waseca County: Avis Haug (Mrs. Alfred Kampen), Marjorie Haug (Mrs. John H. Bartels, Donald Haug and Wayne Haug.
