Methodist Churches History Quilt. Material: textile, wood, metal, glass. Size: 69" x 80". Description: white, gray, red and black fabrics and thread are used to create textile blocks representing the history of the churches that eventually were all merged into the United Evangelical Methodist Church: Emanuel Evangelical of Wilton, Evangelical Church in Iosco Township, Evangelical Church in Meriden and the Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church; smaller blocks are used to create borders and represent symbols of Christianity and the Methodist denomination; the quilt is displayed under glass and mounted in a light oak frame.
The quilt referred to in this booklet has been framed and is displayed under glass as a wall hanging in the west staircase of the Waseca County Historical Society Museum building. The church disbanded its congregation in 2013.
