The two men are cousins. Harold Hanson was the son of Emil and Charlotte (Lottie) Haug Hanson. Gordon Tollefson was the son of Gustav and Hilma Hanson Tollefson. Both families farmed in Waseca County near the Steele County line in Otisco Township.
