Armour and Company was an American slaughterhouse and meatpacking company founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1867 by the Armour brothers, led by Philip Danforth Armour. John Cecil Clay, 1875-1930, was an American illustrator known for genre and caricature paintings. He was born in Ronceverte, West Virginia to a long-time Southern family.
