Three Quarter Grooved Axe. Material: stone. Size: 4" x 7". Description: gray stone; three quarters grooved; edged on wider end; broken edge; groove encircles narrower rounded end.
Found on Section 33, T 108, R 22, Township Blooming Grove, Waseca County. Axe found by M.M. Madden's son. Three quarter grooved axe used by Native Americans. Dr. Schirmer of Minnesota State University, Mankato visited 2 July 2013 and determined that this is a Native American tool.
