Note from a duplicate postcard of this same scene addressed to Reinike in Byron: "this is certainly a fire which you probably heard of. The M. E. church burned to the ground. It will be rebuilt but they had only $5500 on church furniture and pipe organ. The question of consolidating will be agitated. Regards to all, Louise."
