Methodist Episcopal Church fire. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" black and white photo. Note on back: "This is the church just after the tower fell. It doesn't look like we will go to church next Sunday does it." See comment area for another observation.
Waseca church: Methodist Episcopal. See accession number 1.04.201. Methodist Episcopal Church; the first wood structure, gothic windows, church bell steeple with cross at top, circular window sits above main entrance. Note from a duplicate postcard of this same scene addressed to Reinike in Byron: "this is certainly a fire which you probably heard of. The M. E. church burned to the ground. It will be rebuilt but they had only $5500 on church furniture and pipe organ. The question of consolidating will be agitated. Regards to all, Louise."
