St. Adamtine Mantel Clock. Material: wood, metal. Size: 6" W. x 15" L. x 10 1/2" H. Description: four gold ornate legs; black, orange, green and beige marble base; clock face mounted on a marble shaft extending upward from base; two marble columns on each side of clock; white clock under glass encased in gold colored frame; black numerals on white face; aluminum hands; on face: "Seth Thomas Manufactured in the United States of America"; gold metal lion head on each side; paper directions for setting up the clock on back.
St. Adamtine Olive clock. Pre-1900. Key inside. 10-30-2006 - 2-1-2007 repaired by Guy Hostetter from Rochester. May have been used as a mantel clock. Clock may have been repaired in 1983, by Robert E. Graha. Bierman Collection: Bernie Bierman was a football coach at the University of Minnesota for the Golden Gophers. Bernie Bierman was the grandson of a Waseca County pioneer, Heinrich F. Bierman. In 1855, Heinrich made a claim in sections 13, in Wilton and 18 in Otisco where he lived until December 22, 1882, when he was accidentally killed by a fall from a wagon. His wife and five children lived in Waseca after his death. Luella and Marguerite Herbst are the granddaughters of Mr. and Mrs. Heinrich Bierman, and the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Herbst. Mrs. Herbst was Elizabeth Bierman. They also donated items from Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Perrin. Mrs. Perrin was Emma Bierman.
